Title: Staff Accountant - full-time
Reports to: President
Location: Santa Barbara, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the Company
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
  • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations for all checking accounts
  • Prepare, verify accuracy and complete monthly journal entries
  • Process project and company accounts payable and receivable and prepare monthly aging
  • Prepare monthly loan draw requests
  • Maintain accuracy of fixed asset management system
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
  • Suggest alternative to work processes that will increase efficiency
  • Maintain files as required for audits

Technical Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex transactions
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with good follow through
  • Outgoing, professional demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships


Education: Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university

Required Skills & Capabilities: CPA preferred, supervisor/management experience, public accountant preferred, self-motivated, multi-tasker, ability to manage time effectively.

Experience: Five years of experience


Title: Controller – full time
Reports to: President
Location: Santa Barbara, CA

  • Hire, train, and lead accounting staff
  • Implement and maintain accounting software system
  • Prepare timely, accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Prepare company/project budgets and forecasts, monitor and report variances
  • Supervise preparation of tax returns and prepare other required reports; W-4, 1099, etc.
  • Assist in strategic planning
  • Manage human resources and information technologies
  • Manage and oversee company and project insurance requirements
  • Ensure that the company is in compliance with internal/external finance policies
  • Maintain accurate cost center accounting for projects
  • Determine and pursue procedures to expedite workflow

Technical Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Quickbooks and Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting theory and financial reporting
  • Self-motivated with superior leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to understand complex transactions
  • Understands and can execute complex transactions
  • Significant supervisory experience in accounting or finance
  • Detail oriented with good follow through
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with institutions and financial partners
  • Outgoing, professional demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.


Education: Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred

Experience: Three to five years of experience


Title: Executive Assistant - full-time
Reports To: President
Location: Santa Barbara, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare correspondence, agendas, memos, presentations, reports, investment memorandums, and loan requests using word processing software in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Prepare regular reports related to development activities
  • Correspond with contacts on behalf of the President and development team
  • Maintain weekly schedule and notify President of meetings and appointments
  • Schedule, plan, and arrange business meetings, events, and conference calls
  • Make travel and lodging arrangements
  • Screen telephone calls, incoming mail, publications, and other correspondence.
  • Copy and distribute materials as needed.
  • Research and compile data for management review.
  • Establish and maintain all company and project records and files
  • Train incoming clerical staff
  • Support the President and office personnel on day-to-day basis

Technical Skills:

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; detail oriented
  • Exceptional organizational with ability to multi-task
  • Outgoing, professional demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.

Education: Degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university

Required Skills & Capabilities: Proficient MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
